THE ever popular Return to London Town festival returns this month.

Now in its 23rd year, the annual event returns in full and in person from October 22-25, organizers have confirmed.

“There are real treats for all lovers of the genre, with four fantastic days of concerts, céilís, workshops and sessions,” they explain.

James Carty, Jonas Fromseier and Eimear McGeown

For 2021, the festival’s headquarters will be the Clayton Crown Hotel in Cricklewood, north London, with additional venues located nearby or a short distance down Kilburn Road.

This year also sees the return to a comprehensive program of instrumental workshops with the best instrumentalists in traditional Irish music covering a wide range of instruments.

Derek Hickey to take part in the ever-popular festival

For the dancers there are afternoon céilís dancing on weekends with the Parish Céilí Band, and on Sunday evenings there is a Céilí party for everyone with music by McCool Trad and Marian Turner.

The afternoon and evening concerts offer the opportunity to see an impressive lineup of artists, with big names like Seán Keane, Matt Molloy and Michael McCague, Andy Martyn, John Carty, Eimear McGeown, Jonas Fromseier and many others.

Several new albums will be celebrated at this year’s Festival, including Will We Give it a Go? Andy Martyn’s first solo album, Goodman Manuscripts Trio’s second album and Michelle Mulcahy’s Lady on the Island.

Matt Molloy will be on the program

Individual tickets for all events are now available for purchase through the new Festival website here.

There is also a special all-inclusive ticket offer that allows access to all concerts and céilís for just £ 40.

The Clayton Crown Hotel also offers discounts on B&B rates to festival-goers who book here using the promo code “RETURNTL”.
