Report | Notre Dame should hire Ronnie Regula from Miami


Notre Dame appear to be adding another element to the coaching staff as ON3’s Matt Zenitz reports that Ronnie Regula is set to join the Fighting Irish squad as an analyst.

ISD can confirm the report and Regula is expected to work as a defensive analyst for Al Golden.

Regula, a Miami graduate, spent the 2021 season as an offensive side of the ball quality control analyst for the Hurricanes.

Prior to returning to his alma mater, Regula was an offensive quality control coach with Tennessee and was the after spending three years at UNLV where he worked as a graduate assistant and then tight ends coach in 2019.

Regula played college football for Mount St. Joseph, Ohio before moving to Miami and earning a scholarship in 2014, presented to him by Al Golden. In 2014 Regula won the “305 Walk-On Award” which recognizes the most improved walk-on.
