The first and most famous online food competition in pandemic year 2020 is back to excite the local food scene.
The “East Meets West” cooking competition, organized by Bord Bia, the Irish Government Food Board, started on September 1st. A group of world-renowned chefs, along with representatives from Bord Bia, will review all applications by the end of September. The top 10 shortlisted semi-finalists will receive a kitchen kit to create and submit a 3 minute video of their dishes, using both European pork and Irish beef, and then they will be evaluated to become the top 5 finalists to to present. their world-class Filipino culinary skills.
The final selection of their winning recipes will be made during a final culinary event scheduled for the end of November with the announcement of the 5 best winners by ranking.
