Just over two months after receiving an offer from Notre Dame, Bredell Richardson will get his first glimpse of South Bend when the 2024 Florida wide receiver makes an unofficial visit to campus on Wednesday.
“I’m thrilled to get up there,” the Carrollwood Day star told Irish Sports Daily before arriving in town. “I haven’t been up there. It will be my first time going up there and I’m excited.
The 6-foot-1, 188-pound player has remained in close contact with Chansi Stuckey, Chad Bowden and Marcus Freeman since the offer.
“With everything they told me, I just go there to be amazed and blown away,” Ricgardson said. “I’m ready to see everything, from the campus to the stadium, to the facilities, to the zone, everything in general.
Richardson’s offer sheet also includes schools like Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Florida State, Texas, Texas A&M, Penn State, Vanderbilt and Nebraska, among others. The Notre Dame coaches did a great job building a relationship with Richardson, which led to him locking down this trip.
“All the things I heard from Coach Freeman, Coach Stuckey and Chad,” he said. “The conversations that me and Coach Stuckey had and the realization of our conversations. I just feel a sense of family from them.
“Chad is such a cool guy. Me and him bond and talk all the time. He’s such a cool, open person. We talk about everything, more than football. Coach Stuckey, the receiver coach, me and him have gotten really, really close. We talk probably two or three times a week. Me and Coach Stuckey, we just hit it off and we’ve been really cool.
After visiting Notre Dame, Richardson will make a stop in Michigan on Friday.
He’s thinking about trimming his list after September 1 and already has a good idea of what he’s looking for in a program.
Production, family and winning feeling. I want to be in a winning culture. I want to have good production, have a coach that can make me a good product for the NFL or, and make me the best, man.
